We always have something going on in the shop. Currently we are booking 2026-2028 for recovering.
The project for completion in 2025
Currently we have a 1940 J4A that is in progress for a complete restoration. This aircraft has history with the the Civil Air Patrol during WWII. It was based in FT Wayne, Indiana at Smith Field. The owner has contacted the CAP and is looking into using the original Piper colors along with the CAP markings if permitted.
We have a field approval for replacing the Piper oleo's with Aeronca 7AC-11AC gear that have parts available and were built fot the same weight and size of aircraft, the Aeronca K.

The project for 2022-2024
A Piper J3C is in process. All the tail and control surface's are covered as are the wings. The fuselage had sever corrosion throughout and was deemed un airworthy and a new 4130 normalized fuselage has been ordered.
